Mathematics Lab

The mathematics laboratory is a place where anybody can experiment and explore patterns and ideas.The objective of using a mathematics lab is to explore the world of mathematics, to discover, to learn and to develop an interest in mathematics amongst the learners. It provides an opportunity for the students to discover mathematics through doing.

Math lab at TMS, Surat offers multiple teaching and learning aids as well as a complete theme based ambience which helps students to visualize and feel mathematics.It is well lit, airy and spacious room with the seating arrangement for approximately 35 students, with centralized A.C.

It provides an opportunity for the students to discover through doing, which lays down a base for more abstract thinking.an opportunity to students to understand, internalize, discover and verify the basic mathematical and geometrical concepts through concrete objects and situations. It has various mathematical kits, tools like:

Fraction Kit: which helps the students to add/subtract various like and unlike fractions.

Algebraic Identity kit: which helps the child to learn various identities.

Ganit Mala: which helps children to learn how the numbers to 100 fit on to this and can use it for finding which are greater and smaller.

Rangometry kit: which helps children to make creative designs through colorful foam shapes while learning about shapes and geometry. Also it is well equipped with Geo board,geometry box, abacus,place value kit, square,cubes, parts of circles, Mensuration kit, charts, geometric 2D and 3d Shapes, Triangle kit fraction kit ,counting kit,patterns and block kit,place value kit,theorems kit,time kit and many more to build up interest and confidence in the students in learning and doing mathematics.

Computer lab

Technology can become ‘wings’ that will allow the educational world to fly farther and faster than ever before - if we will allow it. - Jeny Arledge. Our lives in these modern times are heavily dependent on the use of computers. We need to make the future generation well equipped with the use of computers. Hence, it is highly imperative to include computer education in the school curriculum. At TMS Surat, the computer lab, like other labs, essentially provides access to various resources to the students. We have well-designed and separate computer labs for Junior and Senior students, run by a well-educated and qualified faculty, with one-on-one access, which means there is one computer for each child.

There are 35 computers in our Lab -1 and 22 in Lab - 2 currently. All computers are connected with LAN with Ubuntu Operating System in LAB -1 and Windows in LAB-2. All computers are well configured with headphones and microphones, with 4GB RAM.

Learners gain proficiency and dexterity in current technology with optimized supportive infrastructure with the latest hardware and software at our school computer labs. It has display boards to reflect student’s learning. A hard writing surface - (infrastructure) on each computer table, so that the students can take notes swiftly. It also has a whiteboard, green board for making it simpler for the facilitator to teach the concept. Additionally, the school computer lab has a convenient centrally located air circulation system. A good air circulation system is quite important in a computer lab for mainly two reasons, firstly so as to protect the components from overheating and secondly for the comfort of the users.

Children can learn to do various subject related research using the computer; also they can use it to make various projects in school. We are committed to a progressive and evolving approach to ensure that our students have the advantage of being familiar with up to date technology advances in IT based educational initiatives.

AI Lab

The students from grade- 3 are introduced to the most emerging and need of the hour topic "Artificial Intelligence" . They were exposed to the understanding of AI and its domain and how it works by playing various games based on AI and it's different domains. Students were shown different videos showing where AI technology is used and also in which gadgets it is used and how. We all are already working with Gmail,Google, Google maps, Google lens, Alexa etc. but we're not knowing how AI technology was been used in it. So the same was explained to the students with different activities one of which was designing their own smart homes (what AI enabled gadgets they want in their home to make their life easy). Great outputs were received by the students which can serve the society and the students felt very happy to learn about the technology.

Science Lab

1. In our school we have three individual lab for science which are chemistry,physics and biology.

2. labs infrastructure is wide and open with proper ventilation and with all safety protocols like fire extinguishers, exhaust fan and safety cabinets room where concentrated chemicals are kept and only authorised person’s entry.

3. There are safety protocols and safety rules for practicals which we are guid the students before conducting the practicals.

4. All glass apparatus like beaker,test tube,pipettes,flasks,funnels are kept on their specific compartments on the self for students to easy access.

5. Every lab have their own separate apparatus and instruments.which we provide them with guidance during practicals.

6. Students safety is our first priority so we kept our upmost attention to the students while their practicals are going on and for the safe side we have first aid kit in all our three labs.

Language Labs

A language laboratory is a dedicated space for language learning where students access audio or audio-visual materials and plays an important role in the language learning process. As, good communication skills are indispensable for the achievement of any professional. The language laboratory plays a chief role in the language learning practice. At TMS SURAT, Language lab acts as technological assist for learning and has a number of advanced facilities that can help a student to learn a language with proficiency to communicate .Modern products such as digital board with internet connectivity etc Well acquainted with appropriate seating arrangements, centralized air conditioner, soft boards for the visual reception as well as reflection of the student’s learning.

It focuses on the development of students’ language & communication skills, critical thinking, and problem solving skills through the understanding of 4 pillars of Language viz. Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
