Field trips at TMS Surat provide students with valuable experiential learning opportunities beyond the classroom. These educational visits are carefully planned to connect academic concepts with real-world experiences, enhancing curiosity and understanding. The Visual Arts Department believes that each student has unique needs, background and strengths. We look for motivated and curious learners, understanding that it is important to nurture the whole individual. We support them in investigating and integrating art, academics, character development and physical and mental health to achieve personal success. TMS takes special pride in its departments: Dance, Instrumental Music, Theatre, Art and Vocal Music. These outstanding departments are the heart of the school and the reason for its existence. Currently, the School has been highly engaged in exploring possibilities to refine the quality of art education and create critical platforms. Fine Arts education is an integral part of the development of human being. It refers to the education in the disciplines of performing and visual arts. Our school will leave no stone unturned to inspire and equip the students to contribute positively to their community and world.

Theatre Theatre enables the development and understanding of the self as well as the exploration of self in relation to others. It helps the development of critical empathy for fellow humans and towards the natural, physical and social worlds. Through theatre/street-plays students are given opportunities to create their own dramas and bring about social awareness.They also attend play housed by others. Through this medium of learning, students are transported to worlds past, present, and future --- the ultimate in "virtual reality." “Theatre not only includes acting, it also involves dance, painting, costume designing, stage designing, an understanding of lighting and other things." At The Millennium School drama fulfills student's psychological needs of free expression and imagination, builds their characters, and finally through stories leads them to perform for an audience.

The Millennium School provides training in a variety of disciplines in music and dance which the children have freedom to choose from. They can opt for Indian Semi Classical, Indian Folk Dance, Urban Dance forms, Western dance and fusion. For Music we have Indian Classical, Western, Folk, Contemporary and Keyboard. The school has dedicated and gifted teachers to ignite and sustain the creative spark in the students. The universal language of music and dance forms helps students from across communities to bond and provides the perfect nutriment for the mind, body and soul.

At the Millennium School, we consider it vital to instill in students a strong set of core values. This in turn will help shape their lives and the world around them. Universal values and ethical codes of conduct are very important part of curriculum which enables them to build their future and benefit the society. We support our curriculum with a set of principle (values) that are woven into teaching and learning, in order to develop improved social and emotional skills that will positively affect their behaviour.

An annual excursion is organized for students for every academic session. Further, the school organizes planned visits to various places to enrich the students and to take learning beyond the four walls of the classroom. We believe very strongly in the educational value of well-planned visits and firmly support of outdoor education. An educational trip is an off-campus learning activity that brings excitement and adventure to learning. A well–planned field trip is ideal to introduce new skills and concepts to children, reinforce ongoing lessons and influence the learning potential. The school organizes regular field trips based on curriculum requirement. Students of RTF have monthly field trips based on their theme.

Physical activities play an essential role in the holistic development of students. It not only keeps them fit but fosters to their physical, social and emotional health. Along with catering to their physical and mental fitness it teaches them group commitment, team work, individual discipline and helps them create an apt attitude towards life in general. We, at The Millennium School, firmly believe in all round development of our students and thus we emphasize equally on both academics and co-curricular activities. We envisage a system which aims at a multifaceted flowering of the child's physical, emotional, mental and spiritual personality.

As our duty and as per SDG Goals is to protect our planet and society, our TMS-Surat have taken the initiative of water conservation and contribute through our beloved environment through our Noble Water Conservation Drive.

Our TMS students visited their neighborhood with a professional plumber provided by the school and repaired the leakage. They also declared those houses as “Leakage Proof House” by pasting stickers.

Our students also went to one of our Little Millennium branches where they interact with other parents & staff about the same and also asked the parents to write a few simple ways of how they are going to save water at their home.

Our students made paper bags using newspapers. Then they visited vendors or shops near our house and educated them about reducing single use of plastic and gave them a paper bag which they made & explained to them to use paper bags instead of plastic bags.

TMS Surat along with the Student Council Members have initiated a noble drive of “donating a handful of grains” by each millennial, to contribute a little to the society to combat hunger.

The Zero Food Wastage initiative at TMS Surat focuses on minimizing food waste by promoting responsible consumption and efficient resource management. The school encourages students and staff to take only what they can eat, reuse surplus food responsibly, and spread awareness about hunger and sustainability. This initiative not only reduces wastage but also instills values of discipline, empathy, and environmental responsibility among students

Learning with fun has always been a high point of the teaching strategies of TMS. The students had an enjoyable yet informative session on ,”Personal Space Bubble”, wherein they imagined a safety bubble around them. The students were made to understand that this imaginary bubble was the safe distance between them and other people or objects. They were told to imagine themselves in the first circle, ie. their own personal space, then the second circle represents their immediate family members , the third circle constitutes their family friends, their own friends, their teachers and finally the last circle sums up for their acquaintances, neighbors , shopkeepers etc. The students were explained that it is important to maintain a safe and comfortable distance from unknown people by not divulging their personal details to outsiders.

Personal Space Bubble” turned out to be a very gratifying and enlightening session.

Skills acquired through direct life experience help children to develop self-confidence and successfully deal with challenges of life. In order to elevate their organisational skill, learners were exposed to a T-shirt folding activity. The activity helped the children to foster a systematic approach towards their daily routine.

- A very interesting session on Table Manners was conducted by TMS Surat for Students,they were taught not only the use of utensils on the table but also the way to behave while eating. The learning outcome was that children understood that one needs to be polite and well mannered even while eating.

Learners of TMS were exposed to a Shoe lace tying activity through which they acquired important skills like following directions, sorting and sequencing. It was an efficient way to gain dexterity in their fine motor skills.

“The future depends on what we do in the present.” These words of Gandhiji have always motivated us and on the auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, learners at TMS expressed different ways by which they conserve water in day-to- day life through a padlet activity. In order to promote the Atma Nirbhar Campaign, the importance of being self-reliant was explained to the children. Truly adhering to this, they organised their cupboards, bed etc. thus taking the magical step towards strengthening their ability to take care of themselves. A virtual tour to the Sabarmati Ashram, helped children to understand the impeccable role played by the Mahatma towards achieving independence for our country.

The First Aid Training program at TMS Surat is designed to equip students and staff with essential life-saving skills and emergency response techniques. Through practical sessions and expert guidance, participants learn how to handle common medical emergencies such as cuts, burns, fractures, and CPR. This initiative promotes safety awareness, builds confidence in critical situations, and encourages a sense of responsibility and care within the school community.

In the activity of “I am A Superhero”, children were taught to make a lemonade and offer it to a family member. The purpose of this activity was to teach the children a life skill and to inculcate in them values of concern and family bonding.

The Hand Washing Activity at TMS Surat emphasizes the importance of personal hygiene and disease prevention. Through interactive demonstrations, students learn the correct handwashing techniques and understand when and why it is essential to wash hands. This activity helps instill healthy habits, promotes cleanliness, and contributes to a safer and healthier school environment.
